Ever watched something that makes your heart soar, or sing?

It's a feeling I only get when I watch something I've invested in, something from my childhood being brought to life in some shape or form. Like I still gape a bit when Eomer rushes in at Helm's deep and the sun is behind them and everything about that scene from the choreography to the music makes my heart swell with a sense of joy and pride and a big happy grin on my face. It's also the way I feel in the Speed Racer movie when Speed is in the last leg of the race and only two cars between him and destiny and my heart pounds and I'm mentally cheering all the way. It's a feeling I've always had trouble explaining to other people, because I guess, what makes my day and what makes other people's days are very different. But I'm grateful to people who let me carry on, who let me talk about it regardless and let me enjoy myself and my babble.

And for that, I am ever thankful.

We have the Extended Editions at home so we were rewatching them.

That's awesome. I never got to watch the Extended Editions.

They are my favourite. It has these amazing scenes with Boromir and Faramir and little extra details and the Huorns!!

My family is kinda LoTR crazy so we have likes three copies of the book and several DVD copies.

If I lost any, my dad would freak.

I burst into tears when I saw Minas Tirith on screen for the first time. It was just that amazing to me.

I loved the Grey Havens.

Actually one thing that always really gets me is the coronation scene, right when Arwen appears for the first time. And it's not even that, there's something about watching Elrond's face behind her that's really affecting.

I'm rewatching that one tomorrow \o/

Now I want to rewatch them when I get home. It's been too long.

I think my original plan of watching them back to back every December 26th just isn't doable.

Awww.

But I get the same feeling watching Hook, no matter how daggy it is. I loved that movie so very much as a kid.

Hook is amazing.

I remember saying it was my favourite in class once, and my teacher was like, "Really? Because that film got panned so bad". WELL I DON'T CARE 8(
