MICRO STUFF for Serph

State of the Kirk!

Kirk was pretty okay with landing up at Micro and he was certainly pleased that Spock was here as well to back him up (even if he told Spock to stay on the ship damnit Spock). The only thing that does bother him is being helpless. Kirk hates that. And Micro is designed to make him feel helpless. Luckily, Kirk isn't the kind of guy to dwell, he works towards fixing that. So he'll go gather materials, make plans etc etc DO CONSTRUCTIVE THINGS because playboy and lazy and irresponsible he may seem, Kirk's got a very level head and he knows Micro isn't where he belongs. It's on the Enterprise.

Now in a different vein: Spock.

From watching the movie and seeing that they have something developed, it isn't fully developed. There's definitely a lot of chinks and trust that hasn't been established completely. And Kirk really, really wants to get that established. He fully trusts and believes in Spock, no mistake there. But at the same time, he finds himself continually frustrated with Spock when Spock distances himself or won't acknowledge the emotions behind his actions. There are times, he lets it go because that's who Spock is and Kirk doesn't mind it. But at the same time, he really has this need to really understand Spock. I think Kirk really relies on Spock, but he's also got a strong curiosity and urge to just... understand who Spock is. So whenever Spock acknowledges him in some way or admits to Kirk being right, Kirk is ridiculously happy (and egoistical). I imagine part of it stems from his brief time with Spock Prime, who has probably given some idea to Kirk about their friendship and Kirk would like to explore that avenue. The other part is that Spock is someone Kirk respects, even if he doesn't say it. I don't want to sound too corny, but Spock is like... Kirk's other complete opposite and Kirk knows that Spock will level him out or give him the balance he needs in a ship, in vital decisions. Hence, his constant need to needle and know Spock.

BASICALLY right now, Kirk and Spock are at odds. Kirk pushes, Spock backs off, but Kirk won't stop what he's doing. Kirk's demanding that way. He always gets what he wants :|

and there's some form of UST there but I blame Spock for that.

. . .

I feel the need to protest to the last part.

Basically, I agree completely! Spock is aware that Kirk means something more, mostly because of that brief meeting he had with Spock Prime, but he is not . . . ready to actually accept it. There's also the fact that Spock maybe feels, slightly curious. And. Perhaps he is a bit wary, too? Because it's clear that they, at one time, meant so much for each other and that is something he shouldn't feel. Or want.

Also Spock doesn't understand why Kirk pushes so hard sometimes, and he highly dislike the whole situation. He is actually spending most of his time thinking of a plan, planning, and researching all he can, but there is not much they can actually do outside of said plans. BUT YOU KNOW, the moment he can't hide and pretend the symptoms aren't there anymore he will most likely say something and take care of it. Because it'd be illogical otherwise, however he's conflicted at the same time because sleeping with another woman would mean he's betraying Uruha. Aaaand, he does not feel is safe to actually sleep with anyone because they're in an unexplored planet.

. . . GOD, SEE. YOU MADE ME ESSAY A LITTLE. I will stop here. :|
